Anna’s Food Guide to Salt Lake City

When I relocated from Park City to Salt Lake in May of 2022, I was shocked by how difficult it was to find good healthy food that I liked. It seems like a never ending maze of sub par chain restaurants- and I've heard that from MANY people who are not originally from the area. Over the last two years, I have been able to sift through and find some actual good food.


Mediterranean

Laziz Kitchen - recently voted best falafel (pictured) in Utah!

Other notable items include the fried cauliflower, grape leaves, hummus, spiced labne, beet dip, salad bowl (pictured), Mediterranean platter, Zaatar Roasted Veggie Bowl, chicken wrap, croissant beignets, Forbidden H20 (pictured) and Morning Fog (pictured).


Smoothies, Açaí Bowls and Avocado Toast

Brass Smoothies - located in the 9th & 9th area, this little smoothie shop can be difficult to find, it is located behind Pizza Nono. Notable items include the brass tacks, limelight (pictured) and berry bowl (pictured).


Protein Foundry - many locations, notable items include the Wasatch Back (pictured), blooming pitaya protein shake, velvet samba açaí bowl and the strawberry cheesecake protein shake. You can sub for vegan protein powder and non dairy milk.


Honest Eatery - my absolute favorite açaí bowls. Build your own. I like a base of açaí, pitsya & mango with flax seed, almond butter, honey, semisweet chocolate chunks, strawberries and pineapple. My go-to toast is the natural power toast.


Vitality Bowls - notable items include the superfood bowl (pictured), the rehydrator juice, green me up juice and the lemon ginger shot


Pizza

Pizza Nono - located right by Brass Smoothie, my favorite is the jalapeño pepperoni with honey drizzled over the top (pictured)


Thai

Skewered Thai - my go to order is the yellow curry with chicken


Sala Thai Kitchen- my go to is the vegetarian spring rolls and yellow curry


American

Oasis Cafe - favorite items include the dip sampler, grilled salmon, oasis breakfast and blackened ahi tuna!


Fast + Healthy

Vessel Kitchen - my FAVE combo is the shredded chicken, hummus, half an avocado and pickled onions on top (pictured), other notable items include the pita bread, bone broth, sweet potato hash and Thai spiced carrots


Aubergine Kitchen - many locations around the valley. My favorites include the blueberry muffin, key lime pie, rio bowl and very berry salad.
